So kind of you to comment. I do feel that parenting is much affected by our peer group but I have tried hard to listen to instinct rather than fads myself. My mum had a hard first marriage, but is blessed with a very happy, long second marriage and my step dad, 87, is amazing. I will see her tomorrow and hope for some better sense of how we can all care for her now. xx
