Demo 1: make your own "art tarot" cards, packed with inspo
Make a set of art Tarot cards (you might prefer "inspiration prompts"). Or just keep this set of mini artworks for future prompts. Includes a demo exploring mixed media and loose art play.
This art-making session is a type of meditation: let your chattering monkeys melt away as you get lost in the process. Maybe put on some music that suits. Wear comfy old clothes. Breathe. Sing even!!
It’s a fab way to loosen up if you’re feeling a little anxious about getting back in the game or haven’t made much art before. I really want to encourage you to explore and be curious here. Make it all about play, find your flow and step away from outcomes.
Enjoy each brushstroke and gesture while painting, then relish contemplating any intentions or quotations you might want to record on the back of your mini artworks.
Keeping it simple
I’ve kept the materials list simple and you don’t need too much space on your kitchen table / bathroom floor / garden shed - just set up on a surface slightly larger than A3.
